Solar Sverige is going to visit this year’s edition of Nordbygg, and thus careful plans are being crafted, so that collaborators can shape fruitful encounters with old and new customers. Their Marketing Director tells us how they make the most out of these days, and his recommendations are relevant for both exhibitors and visitors.
– Nordbygg is the only really dignified gathering place for us working with VVS, and therefore it is crucial that we use the time efficiently, especially since this opportunity only arises every other year, says Marketing Director of Solar Sverige, Thomas Granlund. Solar Sverige is a sourcing and service partner within installation, industry, ventilation, and climate- and energy solutions. As an exhibitor with a wide product portfolio, the choice is to focus on VVS this year. Here below, Thomas Granlund shares some of his and his colleagues’ best recommendations for how to get the most out of these days.
Recommendation 1. Carefully think about who does what in the best way on site.
– The most important gathering moment for the construction and real estate industries in Northern Europe is right around the corner and so it is time to plan. Whether you are an exhibitor or just a visitor, you should draw up a plan beforehand in order to get the best possible rewards once you are on location. We usually make sure that our product directors visit Nordbygg to meet with our suppliers. We also arrange for our sales representatives to visit the fair together with some of our customers. Because we travel to Nordbygg with the purpose of meeting suppliers, customers, colleagues, and people from the industry, having this well-rounded strategy avoids us loosing valuable time on site.
Recommendation 2. Leverage the available list of exhibitors
– My colleagues and I working with products and marketing draw up a plan based on the list of exhibitors to see who we would like to connect with and meet. Then we schedule an encounter with them so that we make best use of our time. Days at Nordbygg can easily just fly away and we don’t want to miss someone who is or could be important to us, and that is why planning is crucial. That’s how we turn to the right spot and the right partner.
Recommendation 3. Be knowledgeable about the industry and up to date
– I think it is important to be knowledgeable about the industry and to try to look forward, even if the current situation is tense. It is important because Nordbygg is where the industry comes together. Our partners and suppliers will be present, and many will have some sort of news to showcase. As a Product and Marketing Director, you must keep up to date with the news.
Recommendation 4. Take the time to learn about indoor climate opportunities.
– Take some time to explore Hall A, where there are many exhibitors working with heating, energy and VVS. In my opinion, it is within this segment of activity that some of the industry’s main challenges are being addressed now, not in the least regarding sustainability. Even though many stakeholders have been investing cautiously, a lot of interesting innovations have come to light within this segment of the construction industry recently.
Recommendation 5. Enjoy!
– After a two year long wait, it is going to be very nice to come back to Nordbygg, because we usually have a really good time! So, my best recommendation is actually to bring your best smile! And a pair of comfortable shoes, of course!
