Lina Simonsson is one of the prominent communication figures in the heat pump industry. Those who have previously visited the installation-heavy Hall A at Nordbygg are likely familiar with her. In 2024, she returns in a new role as the Chief Marketing Communications Officer for the heat pump company Qvantum. Here, she explains why she once again put Nordbygg as a priority.

Why does Qvantum choose to exhibit at Nordbygg?
We see Nordbygg as the obvious meeting place and showcase where we can present ourselves to the Nordic market. Nordbygg brings together installers, consultants, designers, and prefab home manufacturers. It certainly generates business, but it’s also an excellent way to relocate our headquarters for a week. We have the opportunity to welcome meetings in a new arena to recruit new partners and future employees. I consider it a misdoing not to be present.
ou exhibit in Hall A, which primarily consists of exhibitors in the installation sector. What do you typically pay special attention to there?
Hall A is the most exciting of the halls in my opinion. It might be because I work with energy solutions. But considering the global situation and what’s happening across Europe in terms of the transition from fossil fuels and a heat pump market that’s seeing more and more players, it’s incredibly exciting to see what the Nordic’s largest fair for energy solutions will present. Hall A will host a star-studded lineup of actors.
What are your previous experiences with Nordbygg?
I have worked for another company for many years where Nordbygg played a significant role. I was responsible for one of the largest booths at the fair. What I’d like to highlight is the Nordbygg staff, with whom I have always had incredibly good cooperation, whether it’s project management, advertising, events, or last-minute “rescues”. I want to take this opportunity to send them warm greetings. It’s really going to be fun to come back.
What surprises can we expect from you in 2024?
We will bring a product range with a large number of innovations. Our systems are modular and scalable, covering everything from small apartments to large-scale industrial projects. We have already gained a lot of attention in Europe, primarily for our unique apartment heat pump, which is extremely compact. In Germany, we won an innovation and design award at one of the world’s largest HVAC trade shows, ISH. When we entered the British market this summer, we received additional awards, including the prestigious Renewable Awards. But we will present more innovations, such as a really cool software package with tools for installers and designers. We will be able to demonstrate concrete sustainability measures where the refrigerant, propane (GWP3), plays a significant role. When it comes to sustainability, our circular handling of components also fits into the picture, and, of course, the social aspect of actually making heat pumps for the many people. But above all, you will be able to meet many familiar faces from the industry in our booth. Qvantum consists of a fantastic group of people with very exciting experience and expertise. See you there!
