Hall B has always been a crowd magnet at Nordbygg – the place where visitors can get hands-on with the latest tools, machines, safety gear, and construction site equipment. Now, one of its most iconic features is making a long-awaited return: Power Tool Street is back.
June 27 2025
Power Tool Street premiered at Nordbygg in 2005 and quickly became a much-loved area among visitors. In a clearly marked zone, painted in black and white like a checkered flag, tools and machines were showcased by companies coordinated by LEH, the industry association for manufacturers and importers of electric hand tools.
“It feels fantastic to reintroduce Power Tool Street. Our members have shown great interest. Not all slots are booked yet, but we believe this is just the beginning of something that will grow,” says Matts Spångberg, CEO of LEH.
It was 25 years ago that he signed the first agreement with Nordbygg to create Power Tool Street. Now, both he and Stockholmsmässan hope this initiative is back to stay.
“We are very happy to resume our collaboration with LEH on the Power Tool Street initiative. It’s a much-anticipated feature that we know was a visitor favorite and created a lot of energy. We now look forward to a long-term partnership that continues to contribute to the unique experience in Hall B,” says Lina Hann, project manager for Nordbygg at Stockholmsmässan.
Many visitors surely remember the classic black-and-white checkered floor that welcomed them to Hall B for decades. Power Tool Street will once again occupy the same space – the part of the hall reached directly from the main entrance.
Here, visitors are invited to engage in dialogue and get hands-on with the latest innovations. For ten consecutive fairs, this area was a natural meeting point for both professionals and curious attendees.
“It’s like a comeback tour – just like in music,” says Matts. “We want to recreate that special atmosphere – a place where things are really happening. Power Tool Street has always been a magnet with high energy, live demonstrations, and a physical experience of the products.”
It’s not just about the tools. It’s about bringing people together, sharing knowledge, and creating experiences. That’s what Power Tool Street stands for, Matts concludes.
