Nordbygg Delivers the Best Bang for the Buck

“Enrad doesn’t just supply heating and cooling equipment — we see ourselves as a service company responsible for the entire chain: from development and manufacturing to sales, performance monitoring, and maintenance,” says Andreas Bäckäng.

Andreas is convinced that the future of cooling and heat pump technology lies in natural refrigerants. He explains that Enrad uses propane because of its excellent thermodynamic properties:

“Propane also works across a wide temperature range, which allows us to cover many different operating scenarios — from comfort cooling to high-temperature heating. That makes it extremely reliable,” Andreas explains, and continues:

“Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. Our purpose as a company is to contribute to a more sustainable industry by offering the most environmentally friendly heating and cooling solutions,” says Andreas.

Growing interest

What used to be a challenging market is becoming more accessible, Andreas says, as natural refrigerants are gaining ground over traditional synthetic alternatives — helped by new regulations and directives.

“The F-gas regulation was tightened in 2024, which is accelerating change. We’re also awaiting new rules on PFAS, where emissions from refrigerants have a major environmental impact. There’s a strong push steering the entire industry toward natural alternatives,” says Andreas.

Clear target audiences

Now, he’s looking forward to connecting with the industry at Nordbygg 2026, where Enrad has already secured a spot — this time with an even larger exhibition area than in previous years.

Enrad’s target audience falls into three clear categories: consultants who specify Enrad’s solutions in various projects, installers who set up the systems, and property owners who operate and rely on the installations. All of these professional groups are present at Nordbygg.

“Nordbygg is especially valuable for us because that’s where we get the best return on investment. We reach a large part of our target audience in a short time, making each customer interaction highly cost-effective,” says Andreas.

“At Nordbygg, we meet customers from all over Sweden — from Malmö in the south to Kiruna and Luleå in the north — as well as international visitors. Many stay more than one day, which also allows for informal networking in the evenings. It truly is a wide-reaching and dynamic meeting place,” concludes Andreas Bäckäng, CEO of Enrad.
