Spotlight Design is a brand-new area in a prime location in Hall A. Among the first to secure their spots are Kakelspecialisten and Grohe – two leading players ready to meet the industry at Nordbygg 2026 with exciting innovations and expert teams.

At Nordbygg, Northern Europe’s leading meeting place for the construction and real estate sector, exhibitors traditionally showcase technical innovations and breakthroughs. Functionality, energy efficiency, and sustainability are central themes.

“But we also have many exhibitors and visitors with a strong interest in design, form, and aesthetics – architects and specifiers, including developers and project managers,” says Lina Hann, Project Manager at Nordbygg.

Especially in the installation sector, there is growing demand for products that combine technology with aesthetics, such as attractive tiles and clinkers or stylish taps and bathroom details.

A dedicated design area in Hall A

To meet this need, Nordbygg is introducing a new concept: Spotlight Design. The area consists of identically designed small houses placed at the front of Hall A. The uniform exterior makes the setup cost-effective and easy to navigate for visitors. Each exhibitor has complete freedom to design their own 12-square-meter showroom. Even companies already exhibiting at Nordbygg can complement their presence with a space in Spotlight Design.

“We see these houses as temporary showrooms, where exhibitors can create everything from bathroom concepts to material combinations. The idea is to give visitors a curated experience – an environment where design and expression take center stage,” explains Lina Hann.

Adjacent to the area, a program called Design Talks will feature specially invited guests such as architects, designers, and industry experts.

Kakelspecialisten connecting with key decision-makers

Kakelspecialisten is one of the exhibitors joining Spotlight Design. Exhibiting at Nordbygg is new for them, but they are experienced participants at Stockholm Furniture Fair.
“We deliver to everything from private homes to large public environments, such as the construction of the subway here in Stockholm. Nordbygg is an exciting fair where we reach our target groups for larger projects – contractors, architects, project managers, and property owners – in other words, more decision-makers,” says Gunilla Eriksson, Marketing Manager at Kakelspecialisten.

She believes that Nordbygg’s development in recent years, with an increasingly clear focus on bathroom design and a sharper target audience, makes the fair particularly interesting for them.

“The Spotlight Design platform also offers an opportunity to provide an overview; we can tie together the bathroom’s various products and present how materials interact,” she says.
Gunilla expects groups looking for new solutions for future projects and wanting to see how materials can be combined into complete bathroom concepts to visit their showroom. Natural materials are trending now – soft beige tones, often complemented by hints of green.

“We will also highlight materials with low climate impact and recycled content. Sustainability is becoming increasingly important in procurement and project development, and we see property owners demanding these qualities more and more,” says Gunilla Eriksson.

Grohe returns to Nordbygg

After a couple of years away, Grohe is making a comeback at Nordbygg 2026 with a clear ambition: to showcase the next step in bathroom innovation at Spotlight Design.
“We will present an integrable shower technology that generates foam directly in the shower. We’re showing new color trends for bathrooms from a market perspective, as well as solutions for the complete bathroom. Our goal is to create inspiration for visitors and a home-like feel rather than just an exhibition space within Spotlight Design,” says Pierre Svensson, Leader GROHE Sweden.

At Nordbygg, Grohe is targeting project customers, architects and designers, wholesalers, property developers, and developers.

“We have high expectations, as always, with many visits from both new and existing customers. We look forward to these days and all the contacts they bring,” says Pierre Svensson.

To meet visitors’ questions and provide in-depth product knowledge, Grohe is bringing a strong team of sales and product specialists focused on design and architecture for the Nordic region.

Grohe has extensive experience with Nordbygg, and several team members have participated in previous editions. The experience has been positive:
“Nordbygg creates a natural forum for conversations about trends, innovations, and industry needs. Being part of the new Spotlight Design area this year feels particularly inspiring,” concludes Pierre Svensson.
