24 April 2026<\/em><\/p>\n Gold Medal awarded to Saint-Gobain Sweden AB, Gyproc<\/p>\n The Nordbygg Gold Medal for the most innovative product launch of 2026 was awarded to Saint-Gobain Sweden AB, Gyproc, for Gyproc Hybridregel \u2013 a foldable stud made of timber and steel for internal wall constructions.<\/p>\n \u2013 Anyone working in product development knows how long these processes can be. We have long believed we were on the right track, and this is proof and confirmation of that, said Thomas Viktorsson, Category Manager at Gyproc, who received the medal. <\/p>\n The Nordbygg Gold Medal is awarded based on criteria including level of innovation, sustainability and market potential. The award is presented annually by Nordbygg and Svensk Byggtj\u00e4nst. <\/p>\n Habitat 7, a newly built office building at Masthuggskajen in Gothenburg, was awarded the Glass Award 2026. The winning project was presented by jury chair Mats Lindstr\u00f6m (WSP) and Melinda Lemke, Project Manager at the Swedish Glass Industry Association. The project received the award for its high ambitions in terms of working environment, vibrant urban development, well-considered spatial qualities and innovative use of glass. <\/p>\n Jan Lindholm and Erik Stening (Fasadglas and bARK), Anders Pettersson (architect, Krook & Tj\u00e4der), and Dennis Berglund (NCC) accepted the award on stage. Oskar Storm (Saint-Gobain) received an honourable mention.<\/p>\n The Glasp\u00e4rlan Award aims to recognise smaller glass projects or highlight a strong detail or solution, and is also presented by the Swedish Glass Industry Association. This year\u2019s award went to the project \u201cA House in Abbek\u00e5s\u201d \u2013 a villa in Sk\u00e5ne designed by architect Karl Dinell, who is also the client together with Lotta Forste. Jesper van der Putten and Charlie Bergendal (Scandifront), along with Morten Johansson and M\u00e5ns Elmlund (Dinell\/Johansson), received the award. <\/p>\n Jonathan Lundin of J\u00e4la Pl\u00e5tslageri, who runs Sweden\u2019s largest Instagram account within sheet metal work, was named Sheet Metal Influencer of the Year. He is described as a true inspiration and enthusiast within the trade. Anders Hvarfner (CEO) and Tomas Skagerlind (Head of Communications) from Pl\u00e5t & Ventf\u00f6retagen, together with last year\u2019s winner Emelie Persson (Perssons pl\u00e5tslageri), presented the award to Jonathan Lundin, along with a diploma made from recycled zinc.<\/p>\n The Indoor Climate Award was presented to Swegon Group AB for the development of Swegon INSIDE Analytics and Swegon INSIDE Visualiser.<\/p>\n The jury described it as an innovative solution that combines AI-based analysis, prediction and clear visualisation with active user feedback in a cohesive workflow.<\/p>\n Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the award is given to companies or organisations within indoor climate, energy and HVAC that have developed a significant product, service or methodology with strong practical application potential.<\/p>\n The award is presented by Slussen Building Services, the Energy and Environmental Technology Association (EMTF), Svensk Ventilation and the Swedish Refrigeration Association, and was handed over by Anders Sjelvgren, Director General of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning.<\/p>\n Professor Lars Ekberg, Professor of Indoor Climate Technology and Head of the Division of Building Services Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, received the Scanvac Award \u2013 an honorary award presented to individuals, companies or organisations in the Nordic region for outstanding contributions to HVAC.<\/p>\n Scanvac is a Nordic organisation comprising technical associations across the Nordic countries. In Sweden, EMTF represents the organisation. Carpenter and tiler Caroline Sundstr\u00f6m of X-Treme i Lule\u00e5 AB was named Female Builder of the Year 2026.
