Stockholm Business Region returns to Nordbygg 2026 with an international program and a strong presence highlighting the region\u2019s upcoming construction and infrastructure initiatives.<\/p>\n

Stockholm Business Region works to strengthen the region\u2019s international appeal and create the right conditions for investments, talent attraction, and long-term partnerships. At Nordbygg, the goal is to open doors for more international companies to discover the major urban development and infrastructure projects currently underway and planned in the Stockholm region.<\/p>\n

\u201cDespite the geopolitical climate, international interest in Sweden remains high among construction firms, material suppliers, property developers, and investors\u201d, says Konrad Szczesny, Project Manager at Stockholm Business Region \u2013 adding that it\u2019s \u201cparticularly within infrastructure and defense-related investments, which often brings new housing projects and logistics hubs nearby.\u201d<\/p>\n

New Regional Plan to 2040<\/h2>\n

In 2026, Stockholm Business Region will release an updated Construction and Infrastructure Report outlining planned projects across the region through 2040.<\/p>\n

The report highlights major opportunities for international stakeholders to participate in shaping the region\u2019s growth, with investments in transport, urban development, and logistics expected to drive expansion for many years ahead.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn recent years, we\u2019ve seen several significant capital investments in Swedish Proptech companies\u201d, says Konrad. \u201cThat\u2019s a sector with great potential \u2014 especially for firms offering solutions that enable substantial cost savings in new construction and property management.\u201d<\/p>\n

The report will also be highlighted on stage at Nordbygg, where Staffan Ingvarsson, CEO, Stockholm Business Region, presents the session \u201cSweden 2026: A Stable, High-Demand Market in Transition\u201d<\/a> on 21 April.<\/p>\n

International program<\/h2>\n

The international program at Nordbygg 2026 will include insights into upcoming infrastructure projects, future housing concepts, and examples of successful international establishments in Sweden. Experts will also discuss how Sweden\u2019s NATO membership and the broader geopolitical situation are shaping the construction industry\u2019s future.
\u2013 \u201cWe want to show that Stockholm is a region in motion \u2014 a place with both potential and partnerships to build upon,\u201d says Konrad Szczesny.<\/p>\n

The program will be held in English and is open to all Nordbygg visitors.<\/p>\n
