Schneider Electric<\/a> attended Nordbygg was the year before the pandemic. Now, the global specialist in energy management and automation for industry and buildings, has confirmed it\u2019s participation for 2026. Both \u00d6berg and Flinth are looking forward to the comeback.<\/p>\n\u201cThere\u2019s tremendous value in being at Nordbygg. It\u2019s not necessarily about closing a deal on the spot, but about showcasing systems and opportunities\u2014for both existing and new customers. I\u2019m really pleased we\u2019re making this investment,\u201d says Robert Flinth.<\/p>\n
In recent years, the company placed greater focus on digital exposure. Now, however, there is a clear shift toward more physical events\u2014both local and regional\u2014and a strong resurgence of major trade fairs, with Nordbygg standing out as a flagship.<\/p>\n
Exciting news<\/h2>\n
Ahead of Nordbygg, Robert and Oliver are preparing extensively. They will set up a dedicated \u201cSWAT team\u201d early on to make sure the booth presents truly exciting innovations.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll be highlighting major upgrades to our EcoStruxure Building system, connected to AI. The aim is to demonstrate what the building\u2019s IT hub can actually do for energy use and indoor comfort,\u201d explains Marketing Manager Oliver \u00d6berg.<\/p>\n
In previous years, the company relied on screens to present systems and digital solutions. This time, the approach will be more interactive, giving visitors the chance to explore the products hands-on.<\/p>\n
But Nordbygg is not only about showcasing technology\u2014it is also about building relationships.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to meet decision-makers at different levels. Our customers come to Nordbygg in different ways. Sometimes we organize joint trips, where customers explore the fair on their own during the day, and then we arrange something enjoyable together in the evening,\u201d says Flinth.<\/p>\n
Own events<\/h2>\n
Each year, Schneider Electric also organizes its own Innovation Summit somewhere in Europe.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis autumn we\u2019re hosting the Innovation Summit in Copenhagen. We expect around 2,000 customers, but of course not everyone can attend. That makes Nordbygg a perfect complement, just a few months later. Those who miss Copenhagen get a second chance at Nordbygg,\u201d says \u00d6berg.<\/p>\n
Industry in transition<\/h2>\n
The property sector is undergoing major change, not least due to the green transition. Despite a weak economy, Robert and Oliver see rapid development in some segments\u2014particularly industry, where the demand for smart, energy-efficient buildings is growing.<\/p>\n
Schneider Electric\u2019s customer base ranges from public-sector organizations to private commercial players. One segment experiencing explosive growth is data centers:<\/p>\n
\u201cData centers are really a booming business, involving large-scale investments. We\u2019re proud to have the advanced technical solutions and expertise that match their needs,\u201d says Flinth.<\/p>\n
Trend report takes the pulse<\/h2>\n
Every two years, Schneider Electric publishes a trend report on the property sector, now in its fifth edition. The aim is to take the pulse of Sweden\u2019s real estate decision-makers: How are they approaching investments and development? Are their challenges unique, or are others facing the same issues?<\/p>\n
\u201cThe report clearly shows that energy efficiency is the main driver of demand right now. First you make a building digital, then AI-ready. That\u2019s how it all connects,\u201d says \u00d6berg.<\/p>\n
The report also highlights strong technological development. More stakeholders now see the potential of AI, with a majority believing it can be used effectively under human supervision\u2014an increase of 33 percent since the last report. \u00a0Connected buildings and digital twins are also gaining traction, with companies seeking involvement earlier in the construction process to create a digital reflection even before a project is completed.<\/p>\n
\u201cDigitalization has long been a key topic, but now AI is in the spotlight. Everyone is talking about it, but many are still hesitant to go \u2018all in.\u2019 Those are the stakeholders we want to reach\u2014to help and guide them in realizing the technology\u2019s potential. That\u2019s one of the things we\u2019re looking forward to highlighting at Nordbygg 2026,\u201d concludes Oliver \u00d6berg.<\/p>\n
