New Collective Stand for Glass at Nordbygg 2024
2023-06-15
In collaboration with the Glasbranschföreningen (the Glass Industry Association), Nordbygg aims to strengthen the presence of glass at the 2024 exhibition. By expanding the segment to include companies, products, machinery, and software, Nordbygg hopes to promote collaboration within the industry.
For the first time, glass will have its dedicated collective stand at Nordbygg. The concept has been developed by the Glass Industry Association, an initiative that was well-received by Nordbygg, who is now making it a reality.
– We are thrilled to present more companies that have invested significantly in product development, as well as international players looking to showcase their services and products in the Swedish market, says Melinda Lemke, Sustainability Manager at the Glass Industry Association.
More companies within the glass industry on-site
One of the exhibitors who have chosen to participate in Nordbygg 2024 is Fasadglas Bäcklin AB, a company that has invested heavily in developing its products.
– Over the past two years, we have dedicated a tremendous amount of time to develop our products and we are excited to showcase our new system, bARK, at Nordbygg. bARK is a wooden system that reduces carbon dioxide emissions (CO₂eq) by half compared to traditional aluminum systems. At the same time, it is more cost-effective and provides better U-values, explains Erik Stening, Marketing and Sales Manager at Fasadglas Bäcklin AB.
The organizer's vision
With the initiative of a collective stand for glass, the Glass Industry Association and Nordbygg hope to create a platform for meetings, idea exchanges, and innovations.
– We have exhibited before and chose to participate in Nordbygg 2024 to be part of this new initiative that brings the glass industry together. We now see that laminated timber can replace the previous use of aluminum in facades, which also creates possibilities for additional members in the Glass Industry Association, says Erik Stening.
By attracting more companies to the exhibition, both national and international, Nordbygg hopes to promote collaboration and enable collective solutions for all challenges in the industry.
– We are currently facing a recession, high inflation, nearby conflicts, and the consequences of the pandemic. In addition to all these challenges, we also have the green transition, which is the biggest and most important challenge for our industry, says Melina Lemke, highlighting the importance of collaboration in the glass industry.
Nordbygg 2024 takes place on April 23-26. Representatives from the entire construction industry will be present to showcase news and exchange knowledge.a
