Upcoming Events for the Building and Construction Industry – Nordbygg, Byggmaterialdagen, Samhällsbyggararenan, and Fastighetsenergi

The building and construction industry has numerous highlights to anticipate. Organized by Stockholmsmässan, Nordbygg will next occur in 2026. Additionally, the upcoming year will see the return of three other major events for the construction and real estate sectors: Byggmaterialdagen, Fastighetsenergi 2025, and Samhällsbyggararenan.

Stockholmsmässan continues to develop knowledge- and business-driven arenas for the construction and real estate sectors. Here are four highlights to look forward to.

Nordbygg, April 21–24, 2026

Lina Hann, Project Manager for Nordbygg, shares that planning is well underway for Nordbygg, the Nordic region’s largest meeting place for the building and construction industry, which will be held in 2026.

“With more than 1.5 years left until Nordbygg, half of the exhibition spaces are already booked, which is a sign of strength for the future. I see great potential for Nordbygg to grow and develop. Last time Nordbygg was held in April 2024, we had 35,000 visitors and over 900 companies as exhibitors. It is the largest event hosted by Stockholmsmässan, so there is a lot of anticipation for the next Nordbygg,” says Lina Hann.


Nordbygg, which is held every two years, will next take place from April 21–24, 2026.


Byggmaterialdagen, November 14, 2024

Nordbygg is the largest meeting place for the construction industry, but Stockholmsmässan also hosts three other knowledge- and networking-driven arenas for the sector, which will take place in autumn 2024 and 2025. First up is Byggmaterialdagen, held on November 14, 2024.

The conference targets the construction and real estate sectors and includes a comprehensive program focused on new insights and solutions related to long-term sustainable construction.

With keynote speakers such as Sweden's Minister for Energy and Business, Ebba Busch, and a focus on themes like resource-efficient construction and material development innovation, Byggmaterialdagen is a key platform for discussing and promoting sustainability in the industry.


Fastighetsenergi 2025, April 9–10, 2025

Fastighetsenergi returns to Stockholmsmässan for two knowledge-packed days on April 9–10, 2025. The event is an important meeting place for installers, innovators, decision-makers, technical consultants, and property owners, and this year it expands to two full days.

With a wide-ranging program covering topics such as security, the future of real estate business, energy investments, and innovations, Fastighetsenergi 2025 offers a platform for both networking and knowledge exchange among the industry’s leading players.

“Energy optimization in buildings is a key issue in the green transition. Close collaboration between different stakeholders is required to succeed, and Fastighetsenergi 2025 offers a platform for this collaboration,” says Lina Hann.

Fastighetsenergi is organized in collaboration with the Swedish Installation Federation.


Samhällsbyggararenan, June 25–28, 2025

Samhällsbyggararenan, which takes place   during the Politician's Week in Almedalen, Visby, from June 25–28, continues to be an important arena for discussing and driving the green transition. It remains a vital meeting place for developing future societies and infrastructures.
